The Great Escape: From High School to the Real World (and My First Boarding House!)

Yo, what's up, world? It's your boy, Xypril Roy G. Elarmo , officially an 18-year-old adult and a college freshman. I know, I know, "adult" is a big word, but I'm definitely feeling the weight of responsibility now that I'm living on my own.

So, let's talk about my new digs. I finally moved out of my parents' house and into my Boarding House. It's a small place, but it's ok! It's got a tiny kitchen, a bedroom that's barely big enough for my bed, and a living room that doubles as a gaming zone. It's not fancy, but it's our haven together with my boardmates, my own little world.

The first few weeks have been a whirlwind of unpacking, setting up, and figuring out how to actually cook a meal that doesn't involve  Noodles/Pancit Cantoon. I'm still getting the hang of things, but I'm slowly getting the hang of it. I've even learned how to do laundry.

Life outside the classroom has been a blast. I've met some awesome people in our Boarding  and we've been exploring the city, trying out new restaurants, and just hanging out. College is way different from high school, and I'm loving the freedom and independence.

But it's not all fun and games. College is tough, man. I'm juggling classes, homework, and trying to maintain a social life. There are days when I feel overwhelmed and miss the comfort of home. But then I remember all the things I'm learning, the new experiences I'm having, and the friends I'm making. It's all worth it.

So, yeah, this is the start of my new chapter. I'm excited to see what the future holds. I'm going to keep you all updated on my adventures, my struggles, and my triumphs.
